These constructions offer an alternative to solid block walls, especially when soil retention is required. 

The log roll, which is set in a foot of concrete, comes in a variety of sizes and lengths and as with rock walls it can easily follow any shape. 

The rock wall is very time consuming but looks very effective, even in very small features.
